Billing delays 2024

Letter from Arbor Hills Psychological Services Administration office 4/22/24:

Our practice has been experiencing a delay in billing since February 21, 2024, due to the recent Change Healthcare cyber security issue. Change Healthcare is a major player in healthcare technology responsible for payment and revenue cycle management. Change Healthcare immediately shut down its systems to prevent further impact and their systems have not returned. Since then, we have been working on alternative solutions to process claims.  This has not and will not affect the high level of care we provide. 

As we continue to work toward a lasting solution, we are optimistic claims will process soon. Your insurance will still be billed for all sessions, albeit delayed.  This means that several week’s worth of sessions will process at once and you may receive a larger than expected bill for copays or deductible amounts. Once this bill is received, we will appreciate any attempts to pay in full. However, we understand some will face difficulty paying large sums at once. We will be happy to set up payment plans for those who need them.  We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue that has affected the entire health care industry.
