About

Chelsea graduated from Wayne State University with a Master of Arts in School and Community Psychology (2014). She is licensed through the State of Michigan as a Limited License Psychologist and is also certified as a School Psychologist. Prior to working in private practice, Chelsea worked as a school psychologist at Midland Public Schools and the Michigan Department of Corrections, conducting psycho-educational assessments for special education support services, creating behavioral intervention plans, and serving as a behavioral and academic coach to individual students. Chelsea has an extensive background working with diverse populations.

She uses many therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and a humanistic person-centered approach to empower clients. Using clinically tested and evidenced-based approaches is of upmost importance to Chelsea. She continues to seek ongoing updates to her skills and knowledge base. Chelsea is invested in an approach that emphasizes a more integrative, dynamic, and holistic approach to mental health. 

Areas of Focus

Chelsea specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults. She specializes in treating depression, anxiety, stress, anger management, grief/loss and trauma and a variety of other disorders. Chelsea also specializes in conducting psychological and neuropsychological evaluations of children, adolescents, teens, adults, and elderly clients and works with both Jackson County for cases regarding guardianship, conservatorship, and competency.

Locations

 Chelsea currently works out of the Jackson office but also participates in Telehealth Services.
