Nathan Owsley, LMSW
About
Nathan is a licensed master of social work, with years of experience serving individuals and families in the local community. The aim of his practice is to help people improve their quality of life through evidence based methods. Born and raised in Brazil, his multicultural childhood has engendered a passion for working with people of all walks of life.
Areas of Focus
His work with children is based on the Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) model, a method that has been widely used to build self-regulation and emotional resilience in children for decades. With adults, he uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a thoroughly evidence-based method designed to help people overcome hardship by building psychological flexibility.
Nathan loves to work with kids, families, couples, and individual adults. His special interests include mindfulness, trauma resilience, personality disorders, personal values, chronic shame, boundaries, family systems, and helping kids who live with intense emotional dysregulation.
